In addition to our video conversion services, we can also convert your audio cassette tapes, or reel-to-reel audio tapes to CD or digital .mp3 files.
When we convert your VHS / VCR tapes, camcorder tapes or 8mm movie film to digital .mp4 video files, we'll save them a USB thumb drive. The digital video files can then be used on a wide variety of devices, including your home computer. The turn-around time for most conversion orders is one to two weeks.

8mm, Super 8 and 16mm home movie film converted to .mp4 digital movies on a USB drive or DVD. Each DVD will hold about 1200 feet, and turn-around time is 2 weeks. The minimum order for 8mm and 16mm film transfers is $30.00, and your film will never leave the Kansas City area.
TIP: 3" 8mm film reels hold 50 feet, 5" reels hold 200 feet, 6" reels hold 300 feet, and a 7" reel holds 400 feet of film.
Supported movie film formats include: 8mm, Super 8, 8mm Loop Magi-cartridges, and 16mm movie film.

We can convert VHS, VHS-C, Mini-DV, 8mm, Hi-8, digital 8mm, Beta, PAL, MicroMV, and 3/4" Umatic video tapes to DVD, or to digital .mp4 movies, saved on a USB drive. Each DVD will hold up to 2 hours of video, and digital .mp4 movie files are about 3gb for 2 hours of video. You are welcome to supply your own USB drive, or we can provide a drive if you prefer. Turn-around time is one to two weeks.
Supported tape formats include: VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, 8mm, Hi 8mm, Digital 8mm, MiniDV HD, MicroMV, Beta (Betamax), Pal (European), and 3/4" Umatic tapes. You are welcome to supply your own USB drive, if it is new, in unopened packaging.

Audio tapes converted to CD or digital .mp3 music files.
We can convert your audio cassette tapes and reel-to-reel audio to a playable CD, or we can convert the audio tape to a digital .mp3 file, and save it on a USB drive.
Reel-to-reel audio tapes can range in time from just a few minutes, to up to 12 hours, depending on the speed setting when the original recording was made. The minimum charge for reel-to-reel audio tape conversion is $40.00 per reel.

We often have customers ask which is better: DVD or digital movie files (.mp4)? The answer really depends on whether you want to be able to watch the converted movie on a DVD player, or if watching them on another device is an option for you. DVD players have not been newly manufactured for several years, although Blu-Ray players will play DVD movies. But, with the video saved as an .mp4 digital movie file, you will be able to copy and transfer your videos for years to come, without worry.
